In
1965, the company started as Spectrum Corporation, a division
of Alco Standard Corporation. Spectrum Corporation’s
prime business was school supplies and classroom furniture.
Spectrum Corporation
diversified in 1974 when it added the Herman Miller Healthcare
line of furniture to service hospitals and healthcare facilities.
By the early 1980s it added commercial office furniture with
Herman Miller as the main product supplier. Spectrum Corporation
had locations in King of Prussia, Pittsburgh and Princeton,
New Jersey.
In 1986, the company
was purchased and the name changed to Office Pavilion/Spectrum.
In 2001 Spectrum
was sold to Herman Miller, Inc., and the company became known
as Herman Miller/Spectrum.
In 2003 Nicholas
Zammer was appointed President of Herman Miller/Spectrum.
He has changed the name of the company to Spectrum, a Herman
Miller Dealer.
Today, Herman Miller
Inc has a showroom in center city Philadelphia. Spectrum moved
their warehouse into a new state of the art facility located
in Limerick, Pennsylvania. Spectrum currently services Philadelphia
and its suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware. The company has
approximately 60 employees.
Since 1965, Spectrum
has been the premier office furniture dealer in Philadelphia
and its suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware. Whether moving
