About Us

History of Spectrum

Founded in 1965, Spectrum Corporation launched their business, providing school supplies and classroom furniture in the Philadelphia market. Quickly establishing itself as a market leader delivering thoughtful workplace solutions, in 1974 Spectrum expanded its services to include the Herman Miller Healthcare line of furniture.

By the early 1980’s, Spectrum Corporation fortified it’s market position by adding the iconic Herman Miller office furniture line, and established the brand as their primary product supplier. Spectrum was acquired by Herman Miller, Inc. in 2001, and soon renamed Spectrum: A Herman Miller Dealer in 2003.

In 2017, Peggy Kelly, purchased the dealership from Herman Miller, Inc., becoming the only woman owned, certified Herman Dealer in the Greater Philadelphia region.
